Event Details

Singapore's energy landscape is rapidly changing to incorporate efficient consumption and new cleaner sources of production like solar. A study by the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS) in 2013 showed that solar energy, without subsidies, can contribute to 2 GWp by 2025. This is about 25% of Singapore's projected peak electricity demand.

With challenges brought about by climate change, we must continue to change the way we use and produce energy in all sectors of our economy including farming. With climate change threatening global food supply, Singapore is looking for innovative ways to grow more food locally, increase

agricultural productivity and reduce our reliance on imports.

Therefore, today's farmers must embrace technology and be resource efficient to increase yield and their bottom line or face the risk of being left behind. This networking event aims to address the business case of harnessing clean energy and help local farmers adopt solar energy, and at the same time, lower carbon footprint with energy efficiency technologies and processes.
