Event Details

The Hydrogen Working Group is a focused interest group under the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS), aiming to bring together experts and key players to provide vision, direction and guidance in the development and implementation of hydrogen projects in and outside Singapore. This is in line with Singapore's Net Zero ambitions by 2050.

    Kavita Gandhi has an extensive background in environment and developmental sector spanning over last 20 years. Kavita has been involved in multi-dimensional projects like United States Asia Environmental Partnership (US-AEP) and was Instrumental in setting up of Clean Technology Environmental Management Centre (CTEM) in the Singapore Manufacturer’s Association. She has experience working with environmental sector startups and SMEs in her capacity as a manager of the Singapore Association for Environmental Companies (SAFECO). Kavita was one of the key personnel involved in setting up the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore and securing a grant from SPRING Singapore to run programs in the area of local enterprise development, market development and training & conferences for clean energy industry. She also represents the association in various government and non-government committees related to clean energy. She was instrumental in developing and managing some unique programs like the SME Energy Efficiency outreach as well cleantech incubator. Kavita has an MSc in Environmental Management from Wye College, University of London.

    CEO, Singapore & Southeast Asia of Sembcorp Industries Ltd

    Mr Koh is responsible for driving the strategic direction and growth of the Singapore and Southeast Asia markets.
    He has deep knowledge of the energy and water sectors with extensive experience in managing infrastructure-related businesses and a strong financial background. He has held various senior appointments in Sembcorp, including group chief financial officer, chief transformation officer, as well as the head of finance and chief risk officer of its Utilities business. Mr Koh was previously chief financial officer of Power Seraya.
    Mr Koh holds a first class honours degree in Accountancy from the National University of Singapore and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School, USA.

    Head of South East Asia at Carbon Trust Singapore

    Xinying joined the Carbon Trust in 2021. She currently leads and grows the Carbon Trust team in Singapore that works across Southeast Asia. Prior to the Carbon Trust, she spent 16 years as a banker, an ESG investment consultant, and a climate change philanthropic grant maker in Southeast Asia and China. Xinying believes that accelerated climate transition in Asia can only happen if we mobilize the full spectrum of capital providers. In that light, in the last 8 years, she has worked to providing advisory and strategic input to governments, companies, large institutional investors and philanthropic entities on issues like energy transition, electric mobility, green real estate, clean cooling, green finance.

    Vipul Tuli

    Chairman, South Asia, CEO, Hydrogen Business of Sembcorp

    Mr Tuli oversees Sembcorp’s investments and key stakeholder relationships in India and Bangladesh. He is concurrently the CEO of Sembcorp’s newly created global Hydrogen Business since January 6, 2023.

    Mr Tuli has 30 years of experience in the energy sector. Prior to Sembcorp, he was a senior partner with McKinsey & Company where he helped to build and lead its Asian energy practice. He has also advised government institutions on issues of energy policy, organisation, industry structure, and regulation.

    Mr Tuli holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and completed his post graduate studies in business management from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.
