Higher order principles of sustainability, methods to improve the design process and techniques for sustainability are important factors to increase the energy efficiency of buildings. To do so, it is essential to have a comprehensive understanding of integrative design concept, process and techniques for optimised energy management and enhanced environmental performance.
Learners attending the course will be equipped with knowledge and skills to adopt an integrative design to optimise energy management and enhance the environmental performance of buildings.
This course is one of five electives that learners may select under the Singapore Certified Energy Manager professional level programme.
After the Course, learners will be able to:
- Explain the principles and paradigms of integrative design (LO1)
- Apply an integrative design process to optimise energy management (LO2)
- Adopt energy-efficient techniques to enhance environmental performance (LO3)
