Event Details

Registration is still available.

Large quantity of heat generated from electricity is wasted as it is discarded into the atmosphere or water bodies. Further energy is wasted upon the distribution of electricity to end users. Proper power plant operations management must account for the efficient generation of reliable and stable electricity where energy wastage is reduced, and thermal efficiencies improved. Learners attending the course will learn about Combined Heat and Power (CHP). CHP is an energy efficient technology which turns heat generated into useful thermal energy. The thermal energy generated can then be reuse for domestic and industrial purposes.

Participants will also be required to complete a self-directed e-learning.

Objectives

After the Course, learners will be able to:

  • Explain the fundamental principles behind power generation
  • Carry out performance analysis of CHP systems
  • Implement safety procedures for power plant operations

Certificate

Participants will be issued a Statement of Attainment by SSG after fulfilling all attendance, assignment and assessment requirements

(SSG Training Grant Approved Course, available for Singaporean and PR)
