Event Details
In March 2023, Indonesian Government and Singaporean Government signed a memorandum of understanding on green corridor project to enable cross-border electricity trade. The MOU will facilitate Indonesia and Singapore to establish an institutional cooperation framework to facilitate developing, financing and manufacturing needed for renewable energy projects. The Energy Market Authority of Singapore (EMA) has awarded conditional licenses to five companies in charge of Indonesia-based projects to import a total of two gigawatts (GW) of low-carbon electricity to Singapore.
In view of the above, the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS) and Indonesia Solar Energy Research Centre (ISEREC) can collaborate to discuss on barriers and challenges to deploying solar energy as a strategy to accelerate clean energy transition for Indonesia. By organizing a half-day roundtable on 2 October (expecting 50 participants from both sides), we will discuss the technical, regulatory and financial barriers for smooth deployment. This will be followed by a business matching for Indonesian and Singaporean companies.
