The Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) programme is jointly administered by the National Environment Agency (NEA) and the Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES) under an SCEM Steering Committee and is supported by a Curriculum and Examinations (C&E) Board and a SCEM Registry.
To qualify for the SCEM certification at Professional Level, a person has to pass the examinations for 4 compulsory core modules and 2 elective modules1 within 3 years and acquire 2-3 years of relevant working experience (refer to section 9 for details). The SCEM Examinations adopts a centralized examination system. The C&E Board has formed independent examination panels to oversee the examination process for each of the modules.
