SEAS Sustainable Finance Committee is a newly formed committee aiming to develop a green financing eco-system in Singapore and beyond. This will also provide members with easier access to green financing relevant grants as they embark on their decarbonisation projects.

    Kavita Gandhi has an extensive background in environment and developmental sector spanning over last 20 years. Kavita has been involved in multi-dimensional projects like United States Asia Environmental Partnership (US-AEP) and was Instrumental in setting up of Clean Technology Environmental Management Centre (CTEM) in the Singapore Manufacturer’s Association. She has experience working with environmental sector startups and SMEs in her capacity as a manager of the Singapore Association for Environmental Companies (SAFECO). Kavita was one of the key personnel involved in setting up the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore and securing a grant from SPRING Singapore to run programs in the area of local enterprise development, market development and training & conferences for clean energy industry. She also represents the association in various government and non-government committees related to clean energy. She was instrumental in developing and managing some unique programs like the SME Energy Efficiency outreach as well cleantech incubator. Kavita has an MSc in Environmental Management from Wye College, University of London.

    Executive Director, Operations Excellence of Keppel Corporation (Infrastructure Division)

    Khai Yang is currently the Executive Director, Operations Excellence for Keppel, Infrastructure division. He oversees Sustainability and Quality, Investments, Supply Chain management and Technology.

    Prior to Keppel, Khai Yang served as Global Head of Commercial Strategy with Wood Mackenzie; he was also concurrently its Chairman for APAC.


    Outside work, Khai Yang volunteers as the Board Treasurer of WorkWell Leaders. WorkWell Leaders aims to work with leaders to champion well-being as a strategic priority for their organisations and take mental health as a fundamental responsibility for themselves and their work communities.

    Director of Singapore Sustainable Finance Association (SSFA)

    Kavitha Menon joined SSFA in October 2023 as its Director. As the head of SSFA, she is responsible for ensuring that the association achieves its mission of building a vibrant and inclusive ecosystem for sustainable finance in Singapore. Apart from the day-to-day running of the association, Kavitha’s role involves stakeholder engagement, membership recruitment, thought leadership, and enabling collaborations across the financial sector, non-financial sector, and government organisations to advance sustainable finance in Singapore.

    Prior to her current role, Kavitha was the Head of the Global equity research team at Foord Asset Management in Singapore, where she headed their ESG integration process. She has over 12 years of experience in equity investment management, specialising in Global financials, based in Singapore and India.

    Kavitha has recently graduated from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, with a Master’s degree in Public Administration as a John F. Kennedy Fellow and Edward S. Mason Fellow. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has a Master’s in Business Administration (Finance) from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (India) and a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics and Communication) from Anna University (India).

    Kavitha is passionate about sustainable finance and having analysed investments using a risk-return framework all these years, she is keen to delve into ‘impact’ to marry investor returns with social and environmental good and drive that change in the financial markets.
