It has been an engaging and exciting day at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre on Day 2 of the Asia Clean Energy Summit 2022 (ACES 2022).

Speakers and delegates discussed the need for more to be done on traditional base load resources from a pricing standpoint for large-scale solar and wind generation, collaboration between e-mobility stakeholders to support net-zero strategy and the required infrastructure to reflect electrification of mobility.

The afternoon kicked off with an overwhelming crowd for Green Hydrogen and Energy Efficiency tracks.

Green Hydrogen is also no longer a topic of the future as ASEAN embarks on its green hydrogen strategy to limit global warming; while not forgetting the opportunities in prioritising energy efficiency in the broader decarbonisation strategy and the actions needed to scale up.

While there is increasing consensus on the need for newer and transformative low-carbon technologies, it is also necessary to tap the potential offered by energy efficiency. The Energy Efficiency track provided a platform for experts and practitioners to present and discuss the recent trends, innovations, and solutions adopted at the national and sectoral levels.
