Prior to SMI, he was the program director of the Smart Multi Energy System project at the Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University. Vinod is the CEO & principal founder of Climate Resources Exchange (CRX) and the CRX CarbonBank™, a web-based platform for transactions of instruments related to the environmental markets. A pioneer in the carbon markets since 2003, Vinod was Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of The GreenAsia Group, where he ensured establishments and developments achieve maximum sustainability through an integrative design approach (IDP). Prior to that, he was in a similar capacity with the Asia Carbon Group, inventing, developing and implementing the world’s first CDM-focused emission exchange. He was also the principle architect of the Asia Carbon Exchange’s unique auction system which was recognized by market leaders as the primary instrument responsible for transparency and price discovery. He is currently Chairman of the Circular Economy Committee of the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce.
